Phenylalanylmethionine is a dipeptide composed of phenylalanine and methionine. It is an incomplete breakdown product of protein digestion or protein catabolism. Dipeptides are organic compounds containing a sequence of exactly two alpha-amino acids joined by a peptide bond.
