1,2 Di-(9Z,12Z,15Z-octadecatrienoyl)-3-(Gala1-6Galb1)-sn-glycerol is an intermediate in glycerolipid metabolism. It is synthesized via digalactosyldiacylglycerol synthase [EC:2.4.1.241] from 1,2 di-(9Z,12Z,15Z-octadecatrienoyl)-3-beta-D-galactosyl-sn-glycerol. The reverse reaction is catalyzed by alpha-galactosidase [EC:3.2.1.22].
